Rackwick backflip

The Rackwick Survey (2014/2015) was undertaken by Dan Lee of the Orkney Research Centre for Archaeology (ORCA), University of the Highlands and Islands Archaeology Institute. Dan worked with the community over two summers recording 174 sites and monuments. Find out more here.

For these then and now photographs, Dan Lee and Karl Reid worked with Orkney Library & Archive and Hoy Archive images and rephotographed the sites.

      1. Hello Shelley, indeed we are. Rackwick is special in so many ways, especially as the birthplace of our great great grandfather Daniel Rich.

  2. There is something very special about Rackwick Bay. I can’t narrow it down, but there is a presence there.
