We are looking forward to an exciting programme of talks, walks and events this year.
First up is a Community Heritage Evening on FRIDAY 10 APRIL 6:45 – 9:30pm celebrating the new book by Bryce Wilson Hoy & Waas. Join us for an evening of readings, music, soup and refreshments.
Next in the line up is the first of three Reels & Jigs evenings with Mabel and Craig Mainland and his band on FRIDAY 08 MAY 6:30-9:30pm. And pop these dates in your diary for the next Reels & Jigs 12 June and 17 July.
We are delighted to announce the the Coop Community Fund is supporting a series of Art & Nature events this year and the first one is on FRIDAY 15 MAY for a Suminagashi workshop with Diana Leslie. There are 2 free sessions 11am-12:30 and 1:30-3pm. Limited places for each session so book by contacting us here.
The festivals are coming to Hoy Heritage Centre again this year and we welcome Orkney Folk Festival on FRIDAY 22 MAY. Rebecca Hill & Charlie Stewart and Erika Shearer & Andrew Dennison will be performing. Tickets are on general sale at 7pm on the 01 April through the Orkney Folk Festival website here.
Coming up in June is the St Magnus Festival and in September the Orkney International Science Festival – details to follow.
