FRIDAY 11 OCT 10:30-4:30 Autumnal walk to Berriedale Wood, Hoy
with Jenny Taylor & RSPB warden Lee Shields
Berriedale Wood is the most northerly native woodland in the UK.
The walk ties in with the ferry service from Stromness to Moaness leaving at 10am and returing at 4:30pm. Ferry can be booked through Orkney Ferries. The walk will involve difficult terrain and burn crossing. There will be transport to Rackwick and to Hoy Kirk Heritage Centre to look at the Effy Everriss Natural History library. Bring packed lunch & water. Wear suitable clothing & footwear.
